Bethesda House History
Bethesda House is a transformative re-entry program originally established in 2012 by the late Pastor Jimmy R. Stevens to support formerly incarcerated men, ages 18 and older, in their journey back into society. By providing essential resources and life-management skills, Bethesda House empowers its residents to become productive, law-abiding citizens.
After temporarily closing its doors during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bethesda House proudly relaunched under new management on July 8, 2024, continuing Pastor Stevens’s vision of restoration and hope. The program offers up to six months of transitional housing, counseling services, mentorship, life-skills training, and guidance in pursuing job-readiness programs to help residents secure meaningful employment. Thanks in part to partial funding from United Way, Bethesda House remains a beacon of stability and transformation for those seeking a fresh start.
